TUI Airways at Málaga Airport
The package-holiday giant — flights, transfers and AGP arrival tips.
TUI Airways is the charter backbone of the Costa del Sol — the airline behind a huge share of the UK and German package holidays that fill the region’s resorts every summer. Most TUI passengers at AGP aren’t just flying; they’re on packages where flights, hotel and transfers were booked as one.
Package travel at AGP
If you booked a TUI package, your airport experience is largely pre-arranged: flights with hold luggage typically included, and transfers to your hotel handled by TUI’s destination team. On arrival in T3, clear passport control and reclaim your bags, then look for the TUI reps in the arrivals hall — they’ll point you to your coach. The most common first-timer mistake is joining the taxi queue out of habit while a pre-paid transfer waits.
Check-in and baggage
Check in online or at the TUI desks in T3. TUI’s allowances are historically generous — hold luggage commonly included on package fares — which makes the total cost comparison against low-cost carriers closer than the headline fares suggest. As always, your booking confirmation is the authority; allowances can vary by fare and season.
At the airport
TUI often operates larger aircraft on Costa del Sol rotations, which means longer boarding and fuller reclaim halls — but the same T3 as everyone else except Ryanair and easyJet. Gates are announced late; wait for the screens. On arrival, non-Schengen passengers (UK) clear the EES kiosks before baggage reclaim.
